  9. <P><B>Import from Outlook Express&trade.</B> You may now import mail 
  10. information
  11.    and settings from Microsoft® Outlook Express 5.0.</P>
  12. <P><B>Eudora Sharing Protocol (ESP).</B> ESP is a new Eudora
  13.     plug-in that allows you to share documents and discussion among of 
  14. a group of
  15.     Eudora users without the use of a shared server</P>
  16. <P><B>MoodWatch&trade.</B> MoodWatch is a new Eudora feature that can monitor
  17.     offensive text in both incoming and outgoing messages. You can
  18. display the new
  19.     MoodWatch options dialog to set MoodWatch settings.  </P>
  20. <P><B>Statistics.</B> You can now display and print statistics
  21.     on your Eudora usage.</P>
  22. <P><B>New Script menu.</B> A new Script menu appears on the menu bar
  23. if you move your AppleScript™ folder to the Eudora Applications
  24. folder or to the Eudora Stuff folder.
  25.    All scripts in your folder and those included
  26.     with Eudora appear on the menu.</P>
  27. <P><B>New Address Book. </B>The Eudora address book has been improved 
  28. for easier
  29.    use and maintenance.</P>

  31. <h3>What's New in Eudora 5.1</h3>

  33. <p><b>Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).</b> SSL, a transport security protocol, has
  34.    been added to Eudora. SSL is used to authenticate the server and to encrypt
  35.    mail transfers so no one can read your mail while it's being sent 
  36. to or received
  37.    from your mail server. </p>
  38. <p><b>MoodWatch&trade.</b> Enhancements to the MoodWatch feature for 
  39. monitoring offensive
  40.    content have been made. You can now see the offending word or phrase in the
  41.    message. Also, you can indicate at what MoodWatch level you wish to 
  42. delay sending
  43.    a message with offending text. </p>
  44. <p><b>Enhanced Address Book in which you can display photos. </b>You can add a
  45.    person's digital photo to your address book. If you correspond to a person on
  46.    a regular basis, you can drag the person's nickname to the toolbar where the
  47.    person's photo will appear. You can click on the person's photo displayed on
  48.    the toolbar, and a new message window appears with To field already filled in
  49.    with the person's email address. </p>
  50. <p><b>New Address Book settings dialog.</b> There is a new settings 
  51. dialog where
  52.    you can choose to turn settings on or off that pertain to your address book,
  53.    including how the address book displays nicknames, general settings, and the
  54.    new business card feature (vCards). </p>
  55. <p><b>Eudora now support vCards.</b> Eudora now supports vCards, 
  56. which are electronic
  57.    business cards. You can create your very own vCard in your Eudora 
  58. address book
  59.    and attach it to an outgoing message. If someone send you a vCard, 
  60. you can drag
  61.    it into your address book and create a new nickname record 
  62. automatically. </p>
  63. <p><b>Save Address Book in Comma Separated Values (CSV).</b> You can now save
  64.    address book entries in CSV format. This allows you to save the 
  65. entire contents
  66.    of your address book as a single CSV formatted file. With your address book
  67.    open, from the File menu, choose Save As. The Save As dialog appears for you
  68.    to save the .csv file. To save only selected address book entries, hold the
  69.    Shift key down when selecting entries. </p>
  70. <p><b>New conduit to sync your Eudora address book with your Palm 
  71. handheld computer.</b>
  72.    You can sync your Eudora address book and your Palm 's address book. </p>
  73. <p><b>Signatures.</b> You can now see your signature in the message 
  74. you are composing.
